Tualatin Foursquare Church was built on Ephesians 4:12 "to equip the saints for the work of ministry". Our goal is to make each member an active minister in the Body of Christ.

To help achieve this goal we are implementing Sunday Evening Faith Builder classes. Among these classes is the Church Builder series. The classes in this series are: Church Membership, Church Relationship, Church Service and Church Ministry. This series will be offered periodically throughout the year with classes to be taken in sequence. The purpose is to provide a structure for equipping people to ministry with confidence in areas of their interest and calling.

Each class in the Church-Building series provides a foundation for different levels of involvement in TFC ministries. The classes are required, but it is important to note that attending a class does not guarantee a person will be approved for a particular ministry. The Church-Builder series begin a process of:

• Defining TFC's primary purpose and structure - Church Membership.

• Exploring the meaning of healthy biblical relationships - Church Relationship.

• Understanding the attitude of service - Church Service.

• Discussing the expectations of ministry - Church Ministry.

 

The following illustrates TFC's prerequisites for specific ministries:

• Short Term Missions Team Leader

Other leadership positions:

Church Council: The Foursquare by-laws outline the process TFC uses to select members for the Church Council. The existing council acts as a nominating board for new council members. The candidates are then presented before the membership for a ratification vote. The term of a council delegate is two years.

Elders: The Elders of Tualatin Foursquare are selected from the leadership of the church. Biblical guidelines are used in selecting the elders and they serve at the discretion of the pastor.
