Nursery Guidelines

Because we know the high value you place on having a safe and loving environment for our infants and toddlers and the nursery staff shares that desire and responsibility, we posted a sign to clarify our nursery policy (also modeled after other churches) which reads:

Attention:
Information booth volunteers, nursery workers & infants/toddlers only beyond this point please. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping this area safe and calm.

Guidelines in the nursery area provide:

  • security: we can all be assured that anyone in the nursery has passed the application process (includes criminal history/child abuse clearance)
  • a calm atmosphere with less traffic, interruptions or noise
  • a clean environment: less exposure to colds & illnesses

To further insure the safety of our children we also have a policy that the same adult is the one to check their infant or toddler in and out of the nursery. This can be done at the counter in front of the swinging gate.

We want to accommodate you and know that there are reasonable exceptions to the guidelines.

You are welcome to come in if you are:

  • Helping your child adjust to the nursery for the first time. Be assured that we will page your number if your child is not making the adjustment after the first time.
  • Nursing: The sofa and curtained area are designed for comfort and privacy while nursing.
  • You have been paged from the nursery call system

Thank you for helping us to create and maintain a safe and loving atmosphere for our youngest members. If you would like to join us as a nursery volunteer or if you have questions and specific needs, please contact us so we can best serve you.

Your servants in Christ,
Lanette Smith & Mary Reichow

Wellness Policy

In consideration of your child’s health as well as the other children in the nursery, we ask that you refrain from leaving your child if they have any of the following conditions and/or symptoms:

  • COLDS:
Any runny noses or congestion, fever, or any infant less than six months with a cold or runny nose
  • FLU:
    Any fever, vomiting or diarrhea
  • RASHES:
Any generalized rash (not common diaper rash) or chicken pox type lesions

We take ministry to children very seriously and always desire it to be a positive experience. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
